The congregation at East End UMC approached us, subsequent to obtaining the building (formerly Tulip Street United Methodist) after their church building was leveled by a tornado. They were looking for solutions which would adapt this well-preserved historic instrument to their substantial music program. Following a precedent much more common among notable historic European instruments, we proposed to build a new console, complete with all the modern accouterments sought after by modern organists, which would be connected to the original tracker action by a pulldown mechanism. This modern mechanism would piggy-back onto the original mechanism, making it so the organ can be played completely by both consoles.
