Crescent Hill United Methodist ChurchClients / Projects
M.P. Möller, Inc., Opus R-581, 1957.
Originally built by Henry Pilcher’s Sons – Opus 1365, 1927
Sounding pleasantly into the beautiful architectural space that this magnificent suburban edifice possesses, the organ at Crescent Hill United Methodist is an excellent marriage of the romantic tonal design of the roaring twenties and the more classic philosophy starting to form in the late 1950’s. Moller retained much of the Pilcher instrument, including the main chestwork and most of the pipework, merely interspersing here and there some upperwork and a few color stops. We have had the wonderful opportunity of overseeing this instrument, and have been involved in smaller projects to achieve greater stability.
